21aefa4e4f Make get_home_path() work in more cases by being case insensitive and sanitzing Windows paths. In some cases (such as differing case of hostnames or paths in the site/home options, or when SCRIPT_FILENAME contains forward slashes) the function was failing to return the correct path, and would instead return /. 641b92e43d WP_Filesystem: When recursivly searching for a directory path, only search for unfound directory entries. This solves a case where the same directory may be entered twice inadvertantly when nested directories using the same name exist. Fixes #20652

4a23ebe03d Enforce multisite plugins menu preference in map_meta_cap(). This means a simple current_user_can('activate_plugins') check will handle the 'Enable administration menus' setting. 
Remove bogus checks for enabling/disabling the 'themes' menu (something core does not handle out of the box) when in the network admin.

fixes #21123.

b57365f7ff If a plugin triggers the WP_Scripts constructor prior to init, fire wp_default_scripts() 
then and again on init.

Only add our localized strings once we've fired init, in case we do have the situation
where we fire wp_default_scripts() twice.

Fixes issues where plugins or themes try to enqueue a default script handle prior to
init. Does not allow #19959 to regress.

a660b3818d Back compat for plugins looking for networkwide=1 during a plugin activation hook.

7b32cc9e6b Theme Customizer: Validate themes with more than just an existence check. 
* The current theme goes through validate_current_theme().
 * If doing a preview of a different theme, we check theme->errors().

Also:
 * Don't attach previewing hooks when previewing the current theme.
Aside from being unnecessary, this prevents issues with a theme with
the error of theme_parent_invalid.
 * Call send_origin_headers() earlier, to allow wp_die( '0' ) to properly
be returned in a domain mapping situation.
 * Fix the 'Save & Activate' message on themes.php.

fixes #20921.

245b0655d2 Remove user/site suggestions (autocompletion) from search inputs, as the UX isn't proper. 
* Removes all instances of site-search, so away it goes. Sidesteps a number of bugs with site-search.
 * Renames user-search to user-suggest, which means it better describes the current behavior (autocompletion) while allowing for future behavior (instant search).
 * Ties user suggestions to a single .wp-suggest-user class.

85eb57bd89 Preview by default the registered default image for custom backgrounds. props mfields, billerickson. 
If there is a default color registered, show a 'Default' action rather than a 'Clear' action, as clearing the value would simply return to the default.

Make current_theme_supports() accept a second argument for 'custom-background' requests, the same as get_theme_support(). Missed in earlier changes, see #20249.

* Rename WP_Customize to WP_Customize_Manager.
 * Move customize-controls.php to wp-admin/customize.php.
 * Make customize.php the formal entry point, rather than admin.php?customize=on.
 * Rename is_current_theme_active() to is_theme_active().
 * Add getters for the theme, settings, controls, and sections properties.
 * Allow customize.php (no ?theme=) to load the active theme. Not used yet.

b36e895a24 Create a new attachment and make a copy of the image when selecting an image from the image library. This prevents orphaning the header if the original attachment is deleted. This also prevents stomping of meta.

9ffc69487f Check wp_crop_image() for a false return value. Don't delete original image if crop not sucessful. Don't delete the original image when wp_crop_image() returns it untouched. d314192cfb Theme Customizer: Remove !important declarations from hide-if-customize and hide-if-no-customize classes. Use a default no-customize-support class on the body so we can use an element's original display property when visible. fixes #20565, see #19910.
