Tiva timers may be enbled in 32-bit periodic mode using these settings.
This settings enables the "upper half" timer driver:

These settings enable Tiva timer driver support
System Type -> Tiva/Stellaris Peripheral Support
CONFIG_TIVA_TIMER1=y : For timer 1
System Type -> Tiva Timer Configuration (using Timer 1)

These setting enable board-specific logic to initialize the timer logic
