b595430578 net: add basic NAT workflow
Add basic functions for NAT (NAPT), remaining some logic unimplemented (UDP, ICMP, port assignment, etc). NAT for TCP can work now (unless port conflicts).
Outbound: LAN -> Forward -> NAT(only if targeting at WAN) -> WAN
Inbound: WAN -> NAT(only from WAN, change dest) -> Forward -> LAN

1e25602678 net/can,icmp,icmpv6,tcp,tcp_timer,udp: device should poll only those connections that are bound to the device.
tcp_timer: eliminated false decrements of conn->timer in case of multiple network adapters.

4ac7945676 net/devif/devif_callback.c: made the connection event list doubly linked.
The resulting time complexities are as follows:
* devif_callback_alloc() time complexity is O(1) (i.e. O(n) to fill the whole list).
* devif_callback_free() time complexity is O(1) (i.e. O(n) to empty the whole list).
* devif_conn_event() time complexity is O(n).

36fbedcbfc net/devif/devif_callback.c: corrected the connection event list to work as FIFO instead of LIFO.
In case of enabled packet forwarding mode, packets were forwarded in a reverse order
because of LIFO behavior of the connection event list.
The issue exposed only during high network traffic. Thus the event list started to grow
that resulted in changing the order of packets inside of groups of several packets
like the following: 3, 2, 1, 6, 5, 4, 8, 7 etc.

Remarks concerning the connection event list implementation:
* Now the queue (list) is FIFO as it should be.
* The list is singly linked.
* The list has a head pointer (inside of outer net_driver_s structure),
and a tail pointer is added into outer net_driver_s structure.
* The list item is devif_callback_s structure.
It still has two pointers to two different list chains (*nxtconn and *nxtdev).
* As before the first argument (*dev) of the list functions can be NULL,
while the other argument (*list) is effective (not NULL).
* An extra (*tail) argument is added to devif_callback_alloc()
  and devif_conn_callback_free() functions.
* devif_callback_alloc() time complexity is O(1) (i.e. O(n) to fill the whole list).
* devif_callback_free() time complexity is O(n) (i.e. O(n^2) to empty the whole list).
* devif_conn_event() time complexity is O(n).

04c9079954 Back in 2007, an early network implementation was developed for NuttX. This early development was inspired largely by uIP 1.0 and recognition of that was noted in the then BSD license headers. Over the next 14 years, a new, much more advanced, original network was developed for NuttX. However, some references to Adam Dunkels were still present in the file headers.
Because of this, it will take some time to detangle the licensing under net/. Many new features, original features were added to the NuttX network. Clearly, any references to Adam Dunkels in the files that implement these new features that have no counterpart in uIP 1.0 are errors.

This PR removes the references and converts the license headers to Apache 2.0 where possible. The affected files include only (1) the implementation of IPv6 (including neighbor support under ICMPv6) and (2) Raw sockets. Neither of these features are present in uIP 1.0 and the licenses can be freely updated.

7332d2decf net/: Add missing packet filtering checks
NuttX provides the UDP_BINDTODEVICE socket option. This is a UDP protocol-specific implementation of the semi-standard Linux SO_BINDTODEVICE socket option: "SO_BINDTODEVICE forces packets on the socket to only egress the bound interface, regardless of what the IP routing table would normally choose. Similarly only packets which ingress the bound interface will be received on the socket, packets from other interfaces will not be delivered to the socket." https://codingrelic.geekhold.com/2009/10/code-snippet-sobindtodevice.html

If CONFIG_NET_UDP_BINDTODEVICE is selected and a UDP socket is bound to the device, then unrecognized packets UDP packets must not be dropped, but must be forwarded along to the bound socket unconditionally.

It the typical case, this should have no impact. It does effect the applications that use DHCP and do select the UDP_BINDTODEVICE socket option.

This PR replace existing improper logic in the code and also the improper attempts to fix problems from PR #3601 and PR #3598. Those changes are improper because they expose DHCP appliction dependencies in the OS, breaking modularity and independence of the OS and application.

Tested with stm32f4discovery:netnsh with CONFIG_NET_UDP_BINDTODEVICE. A proper DHCP test setup is needed, however.

87cf5c58ae Correct some problems with network timed events when there are multiple network devices in the configuration.
Squashed commit of the following:

Author: Gregory Nutt <gnutt@nuttx.org>

Ran nxstyle against many of the affected files. But this job was too big for today. Many of the network drivers under arch are highly non-compiant and generate many, many faults from nxstyle. Those will have to be visited again another day.

Author: Xiang Xiao <xiaoxiang@xiaomi.com>

This effects all network drivers as well as timing related portions of net/: devif_poll_tcp_timer shouldn't be skipped in the multiple card case. devif_timer will be called multiple time in one period if the multiple card exist, the elapsed time calculated for the first callback is right, but the flowing callback in the same period is wrong(very short) because the global variable g_polltimer is used in the calculation. So let's pass the delay time to devif_timer and remove g_polltimer.

Instead, the design currently uses a Multicast Address Specific Query with one timer per group and ignores groups that we are not members of.

22cd0d47fa This commit attempts remove some long standard confusion in naming and some actual problems that result from the naming confusion. The basic problem is the standard MTU does not include the size of the Ethernet header. For clarity, I changed the naming of most things called MTU to PKTSIZE. For example, CONFIG_NET_ETH_MTU is now CONFIG_NET_ETH_PKTSIZE.
This makes the user interface a little hostile. People thing of an MTU of 1500 bytes, but the corresponding packet is really 1514 bytes (including the 14 byte Ethernet header). A more friendly solution would configure the MTU (as before), but then derive the packet buffer size by adding the MAC header length. Instead, we define the packet buffer size then derive the MTU.

The MTU is not common currency in networking. On the wire, the only real issue is the MSS which is derived from MTU by subtracting the IP header and TCP header sizes (for the case of TCP). Now it is derived for the PKTSIZE by subtracting the IP header, the TCP header, and the MAC header sizes. So we should be all good and without the recurring 14 byte error in MTU's and MSS's.

Squashed commit of the following:

Trivial update to fix some spacing issues.
net/: Rename several macros containing _MTU to _PKTSIZE.
net/: Rename CONFIG_NET_SLIP_MTU to CONFIG_NET_SLIP_PKTSIZE and similarly for CONFIG_NET_TUN_MTU. These are not the MTU which does not include the size of the link layer header. These are the full size of the packet buffer memory (minus any GUARD bytes).
net/: Rename CONFIG_NET_6LOWPAN_MTU to CONFIG_NET_6LOWPAN_PKTSIZE and similarly for CONFIG_NET_TUN_MTU. These are not the MTU which does not include the size of the link layer header. These are the full size of the packet buffer memory (minus any GUARD bytes).
net/: Rename CONFIG_NET_ETH_MTU to CONFIG_NET_ETH_PKTSIZE. This is not the MTU which does not include the size of the link layer header. This is the full size of the packet buffer memory (minus any GUARD bytes).
net/: Rename the file d_mtu in the network driver structure to d_pktsize. That value saved there is not the MTU. The packetsize is the memory large enough to hold the maximum packet PLUS the size of the link layer header. The MTU does not include the link layer header.

net/icmpv6: Add support for read-ahead and poll(). Initial commit is just cloned from ICMP with the appropriate name changes.
configs/: All defconfig filess that include CONFIG_NET_ICMPv6_SOCKET=y need to select CONFIG_SYSTEM_PING6=y and deselect CONFIG_DISABLE_POLL.
Update NSH documention to show that ping6 is now a built in command.
net/icmpv6: Add icmpv6_sendto.c and icmpv6_recvfrom.c. Initial versions are just clones from icmp/ with appropriate name changes.
net/icmpv6: Clone some ICMP socket logic as the beginning of support for ICMPv6 socket support.
    Rename CONFIG_NET_ICMPv6_PING to CONFIG_NET_ICMPv6_SOCKET. Move prototype for icmpv6_ping from include/nuttx/net/icmpv6 to net/icmpv6/icmpv6.h

cf5cba953d There was a possible recursion that could eventually overflow the stack. The error occurred when closing the socket with inet_close() while a socket callback was still queued. When the socket callback was executed by devif_conn_event(), this resulted in a call to psock_send_eventhandler() with TCP_CLOSE flag set which then called tcp_lost_connection(). tcp_shutdown_monitor() then called tcp_callback() again, which again called psock_send_eventhandler(), and so on.... Noted by Pascal Speck. Solution is also similar to a solution proposed by Pascal Speck. 2017-10-19 11:55:51 -06:00

88a87f8e3f 6LoWPAN: The original, Contiki-based design used only a single buffer for reassemblying larger packets. This could be a problem issue for hub configurations which really need the capability concurrently reassemble multiple incoming streams concurrently. These was also a design issue in that the reassembly buffer could be corrupted by outgoing packets. The design was extended to support multiple reassembly buffers, each associated with the reassembly tag and source address. This assures that there can be be no corruption of the reassembly once it has started. 2017-08-26 10:00:47 -06:00
