f3b34c84c2 net/nat: Support IPv6 Masquerading (NAT66)
Notes:
1. This version of NAT66 is a stateful one like NAT44, corresponding to Linux's MASQUERADE target of ip6tables. We can support stateless NAT66 & NPTv6 later by slightly modify the address & port selection logic (maybe just match the rules and skip the entry find).
2. We're using same flag `IFF_NAT` for both NAT44 & NAT66 to make control easier. Which means, if we enable NAT, both NAT44 & NAT66 will be enabled. If we don't want one of them, we can just disable that one in Kconfig.
3. Maybe we can accelerate the checksum adjustment by pre-calculate a difference of checksum, and apply it to each packet, instead of calling `net_chksum_adjust` each time. Just a thought, maybe do it later.
4. IP fragment segments on NAT66 connections are not supported yet.

cb161940c2 udp: Add support for SO_TIMESTAMP
Adds support for timestamping received UDP packets, either in
hardware or in kernel. Builds on the existing support of SO_TIMESTAMP
for SocketCAN.

Implementation uses CLOCK_REALTIME for timestamping to match the
behavior of Linux. This could be made configurable in future if needed.

34d2cde8a8 net/l2/l3/l4: add support of iob offload
1. Add new config CONFIG_NET_LL_GUARDSIZE to isolation of l2 stack,
which will benefit l3(IP) layer for multi-MAC(l2) implementation,
especially in some NICs such as celluler net driver.

new configuration options: CONFIG_NET_LL_GUARDSIZE

CONFIG_NET_LL_GUARDSIZE will reserved l2 buffer header size of
network buffer to isolate the L2/L3 (MAC/IP) data on network layer,
which will be beneficial to L3 network layer protocol transparent
transmission and forwarding

------------------------------------------------------------

2. Support iob offload to l2 driver to avoid unnecessary memory copy

Support send/receive iob vectors directly between the NICs and l3/l4
stack to avoid unnecessary memory copies, especially on hardware that
supports Scatter/gather, which can greatly improve performance.

new interface to support iob offload:

04c9079954 Back in 2007, an early network implementation was developed for NuttX. This early development was inspired largely by uIP 1.0 and recognition of that was noted in the then BSD license headers. Over the next 14 years, a new, much more advanced, original network was developed for NuttX. However, some references to Adam Dunkels were still present in the file headers.
Because of this, it will take some time to detangle the licensing under net/. Many new features, original features were added to the NuttX network. Clearly, any references to Adam Dunkels in the files that implement these new features that have no counterpart in uIP 1.0 are errors.

This PR removes the references and converts the license headers to Apache 2.0 where possible. The affected files include only (1) the implementation of IPv6 (including neighbor support under ICMPv6) and (2) Raw sockets. Neither of these features are present in uIP 1.0 and the licenses can be freely updated.

7332d2decf net/: Add missing packet filtering checks
NuttX provides the UDP_BINDTODEVICE socket option. This is a UDP protocol-specific implementation of the semi-standard Linux SO_BINDTODEVICE socket option: "SO_BINDTODEVICE forces packets on the socket to only egress the bound interface, regardless of what the IP routing table would normally choose. Similarly only packets which ingress the bound interface will be received on the socket, packets from other interfaces will not be delivered to the socket." https://codingrelic.geekhold.com/2009/10/code-snippet-sobindtodevice.html

If CONFIG_NET_UDP_BINDTODEVICE is selected and a UDP socket is bound to the device, then unrecognized packets UDP packets must not be dropped, but must be forwarded along to the bound socket unconditionally.

It the typical case, this should have no impact. It does effect the applications that use DHCP and do select the UDP_BINDTODEVICE socket option.

This PR replace existing improper logic in the code and also the improper attempts to fix problems from PR #3601 and PR #3598. Those changes are improper because they expose DHCP appliction dependencies in the OS, breaking modularity and independence of the OS and application.

Tested with stm32f4discovery:netnsh with CONFIG_NET_UDP_BINDTODEVICE. A proper DHCP test setup is needed, however.

net/mld: Querying workaround. The MLD implementation does not follow the RFC correct when it is the Querier. The Querier should use a general query and get query messages from all members of all groups. This would be driven by a single timer since all groups are queried at once. Instead, the design currently uses a Multicast Address Specific Query with one timer per group and ignores groups that we are not members of.

net/mld: Checksum calculation needs to know the full size of the IPv6 header, including the size of the extension headers. The payload size in the IPv64 header must include the extension headers (not considered part of the header in this case). Fixes a few additional errors in size, endian-ness and checksum calculations. Wireshark now reports the the outgoing Report has a good checksum.

The extension headers are simply ignored. This is necessary because with MLD, certain incoming messages may have, at a mimimum, a Router Alert Hop-by-hop extension header.

We discovered a problem with the samv7 mcan driver which results, under some circumstances, in a very high CPU load.

The problem occurs, and is easily reproducible, if the device is connected to a CAN network with a wrongly configured CAN speed (baud rate). In our tests we set the CAN speed of the device to 1000000 and the speed of the other CAN nodes to 500000. The device is restarted and sends a CANopen “bootup message” to the CAN network. This results in huge amount of errors messages on the CAN bus, probably because of the CAN feature for acknowledging error messages. The error messages can’t be read by the device because of the misconfigured CAN speed, instead the CAN chip reports lots of errors, which are reported to the application which uses the CAN driver (CONFIG_CAN_ERRORS is enabled).

The CAN errors are reported from the CAN chip via interrupts and thus the interrupt load is very high in this scenario. To fix the problem the driver now disables each RX error interrupt after it is occurred. The RX error interrupts are turned back on if at least one CAN message is received successfully.

a93f130002 6LoWPAN: Add configurable support for 6LoWPAN star topology. With this change, the endpoints which are the 'points' of the star will forward all traffic to the coordinator. The coordinator is assumed to be the 'hub' of the star. This function also implements IPv6 forwarding. That forwarding implementation is minimal, just enough to support the forwarding requirements of the star hub node. 2017-06-28 15:39:21 -06:00
