b21cb3308a Fixes race condition in event wait logic of SDMMC driver.
This change makes it so that the timeout is set as part of the SDIO_WAITENABLE call instead of the SDIO_EVENTWAIT call. By doing so, you eliminate all opportunity for a race condition.

   stm32f7:sdmmc remove CONFIG_ARCH_HAVE_SDIO_DELAYED_INVLDT
   stm32f7:sdmmc WRITE COMPLETE prevent false triggers
   stm32h7:sdmmc WRITE COMPLETE prevent false triggers

   While testing PR #2989 on the H7 I noticed that the cards
   were staying in 1-bit mode. The root cause was that the
   scr read path was using DMA without an invlidate.

   This was caused by CONFIG_ARCH_HAVE_SDIO_DELAYED_INVLDT,
   but the sdmmc driver, did not use the delayed invalidate
   nor would it work on 8 bytes.

   The driver fully supported dcache mgt on runt buffers, but
   the #ifdef CONFIG_ARCH_HAVE_SDIO_DELAYED_INVLDT blocked it.

   Reviewing the PR that added CONFIG_ARCH_HAVE_SDIO_DELAYED_INVLDT
   it may have been valid at the time. But after the dcache operations
   we fixed. It is not necessary and offers no benefit.

f6aa845080 stm32f7:Allow the use of the Network Monitor via polling
Not all boards have an interrupt line from the phy to
   the Soc. This commit allows the phy to be polled for
   link status.

   This may not work on all MAC/PHY combination that
   have mutually exclusive link management and operating
   modes. The STM32F7 and LAN8742AI do not have such a
   limitation.

4a6f7cacd5 stm32f7:serial Bug Fix: Ensure next buffer is processed
When the Head to Tail relationship was H < T, then
   only the tail to end of buffer was sent.

   The fix is: In the txdma completion to do a second
   the DMA operation using nbuffer if the nlength is
   non zero.

stm32f7:serial UART5 use actual size

   UART5 was using the CONFIG_UART5_TXBUFSIZE
   not the UART5_TXBUFSIZE_ADJUSTED.
   Since the buffer size was adjusted up, this
   has no dcache implications.
   If the UART5_TXBUFSIZE_ADJUSTED is larger
   then CONFIG_UART5_TXBUFSIZE it will present
   a larger usable buffer to the system's
   serial driver.

a10e9615ca stm32f7:serial TXDMA ISR was looping on TX Empty
Interrups were blocked 1*n/baud Seconds. The former comment indicates
   there was an asumption that the TXE would be set at DMA completion.
   In reality this is not true. There can be 1 char in the TX Shift
   register and one in the TX holding register, when DMA completes.
   Waiting on TXE is not needed at all. The DMA will resume on the
   DMA req when the TX holding register is written to the TX Shift

Summary

The naming standard at https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NUTTX/Naming+FAQ requires that all MCU-private functions begin with the name of the architecture, not up_.

This PR addresses only these name changes for the ARM-private functions prototyped in arm_internal.h

This change to the files only modifies the name of called functions. nxstyle fixes were made for all core architecture files. However, there are well over 5000 additional complaints from MCU drivers and board logic that are unrelated to to this change but were affected by the name change. It is not humanly possible to fix all of these. I ask that this change be treated like other cosmetic changes that we have done which do not require full nxstyle compliance.

There should be not impact of this change (other that one step toward more consistent naming).

81b286d375 Fix some long single line comments.
This commit fixes some long single line comments. This effort was primarily intended to verify the change to tools/nxstyle of PR #743 further. This took the files changed with 1501d284c3 and ran them through nxstyle again. The files in the commit previously passed the old nxstyle test with no complaints. The current nxstyle, on the other hand, reported 49 long single line comments. Each of those were verified and the file was updated. The nxstyle change appears completely reliable.

6d69439f58 Call xxx_timer_initialize from clock subsystem
Call xxx_timer_initialize from clock subsystem to make timer ready for use as soon as possiblei and revert the workaround:

commit 0863e771a9
Author: Gregory Nutt <gnutt@nuttx.org>
Date:   Fri Apr 26 07:24:57 2019 -0600

    Revert "sched/clock/clock_initialize.c: clock_inittime() needs to be done with CONFIG_SCHED_TICKLESS and clock_initialize should skip clock_inittime() for external RTC case since the RTC isn't ready yet."

    This reverts commit 2bc709d4b9.

    Commit 2bc709d4b9 was intended to handle the case where up_timer_gettime may not start from zero case. However, this change has the side-effect of breaking every implementation of tickless mode: After this change the tickless timer structures are used before they are initialized in clock_inittime(). Initialization happens later when up_initialize is called() when arm_timer_initialize().

    Since the tickless mode timer is very special, one solution might be to

    1. Rename xxx_timer_initialize to up_timer_initialize
    2  Move up_timer_initialize to include/nuttx/arch.h
    3. Call it from clock subsystem instead up_initialize

    Basically, this change make timer initialization almost same as rtc initialization(up_rtc_initialize).

    For now, however, we just need to revert the change.

The section that they were defined in, however, was incorrectly named "Public Types." Those were easilty changed to "Private Types" which is what they are.

2. No .c file should include a "Public Function Prototypes" section. All global function prototypes should be provided via a header file and never declared with a .c file.

For No. 2, I corrected as many cases as was reasonable for the time that I had available. But there are still a dozen or so .c files that declare "Public Function Prototypes" within a .c file. This is bad programming style. These declarations should all be moved to the proper header files.

00df2f0fe2 Fixed a compilation error, with irq debugging for stm32f7 and stm32h7 archs.
This commit fixes a compilation error that occurs when enabling the
following configuration items for stm32f7 and stm32h7 architectures:

   CONFIG_DEBUG_FEATURES=y
   CONFIG_DEBUG_ERROR=y
   CONFIG_DEBUG_WARN=y
   CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO=y
   CONFIG_DEBUG_IRQ=y
   CONFIG_DEBUG_IRQ_ERROR=y
   CONFIG_DEBUG_IRQ_WARN=y
   CONFIG_DEBUG_IRQ_INFO=y

The compiler error for stm32f7:

And the compiler error for stm32h7:

This commit replaces all STM32_IRQ_NIRQS defines with the NR_IRQS
define, which seems to be consistent with the rest of the code in
Nuttx.

eba8eec74b STM32F7 and STM32H7 SDMMC internal pull up usage fixed
Code was flawed in that the Pins are defined with the
    pullups in the definition. Since there are no alterntes pins
    there is no way to remove them. So not enabling the CONFIG
    pull up did nothing as did enabling them.

    Code also ignored the use of D0 for ready detection causing
    3X+ the chatter.

    This is now a compile time feature as there was no reason for
    it to be a run time. It wasted both flash and ram.

87cf5c58ae Correct some problems with network timed events when there are multiple network devices in the configuration.
Squashed commit of the following:

Author: Gregory Nutt <gnutt@nuttx.org>

    Ran nxstyle against many of the affected files. But this job was too big for today. Many of the network drivers under arch are highly non-compiant and generate many, many faults from nxstyle. Those will have to be visited again another day.

Author: Xiang Xiao <xiaoxiang@xiaomi.com>

    This effects all network drivers as well as timing related portions of net/: devif_poll_tcp_timer shouldn't be skipped in the multiple card case. devif_timer will be called multiple time in one period if the multiple card exist, the elapsed time calculated for the first callback is right, but the flowing callback in the same period is wrong(very short) because the global variable g_polltimer is used in the calculation. So let's pass the delay time to devif_timer and remove g_polltimer.

1da921c00f STM32, STM32F7, STM32H7, STM32L4, and EFM32 USB Host: This change was required to get my devices (CDC-MBIM) to enumerate. Initially the system timed out retrieving the USB configuration descriptor. Ctrl IN requests got nothing but NAKs. I found that the initial SETUP packet and corresponding IN transfer were fine; it was the Status OUT phase that was getting the NAK. After receiving a NAK on the Status OUT, the code would loop back and issue another ctrl IN, which will always fail because the data was already transferred before. Thus the entire transfer would 'timeout'. The fix I implemented moves the DATANAK timeout loop to only apply to the Status OUT. Of course this worked for my devices, but maybe isn't the right solution in general. I think that both the ctrl IN and the Status OUT need their own retry loops? 2019-09-09 17:08:31 -06:00

Move boards to boards folder

    This is the proposed layout after the change:

    boards: - folder containing board folders

                    drivers: - extra drivers specific for platform
                    include: - header files for the boars
                    scripts: - extra scripts specific for platform
                        src: - board specific code
                      tools: - extra tools specific for platform
                    <config>: - board specific configuration(s)

    Note:
    <xxx> names are dependent on platform

    This is a logical change to aim to the arch layout but this is a
    huge change it should be done in several steps to lower the risk.

1395938260 arch/arm/src/stm32f7/stm32_serial.c: This adds the ability to invert and swap RX/TX on STM32F7 UARTs. I added the TIOCGINVERT as well to reserve the IOCTL number, but did not implement it. This is the same as for TIOCGSINGLEWIRE. 2019-07-03 09:23:18 -06:00

37c4fb5477 In stm32_ctrlout() in the HS and FS host drivers, the data buffer isn't sent. This patch passes the buffer and buflen to the stm32_ctrl_senddata() function. With this change, I am able to send MBIM control messages to my USB modem, and read the response. 2019-06-23 07:05:21 -06:00
