The patch
Make: use gcc as LD
introduced use of GCC wrapper as linker. LD variable references GCC
executable now. But when GCC wrapper s used to build relocatable
loadable objects (ELF executables and modules) then it causes
linking of toolchain default libc and other libraries even when -r
is usd. Another problem is that incorrect multiarch variant is selected
for libraries search and possibly even for LTO or C++ templates
instantiating and other glue code which causes fails during linking
if CFLAGS selects non/default miltiarch variant.
Corresponding CFLAGS are passed to LDMODULEFLAGS and LDELFFLAGS
as well as -nostartfiles -nodefaultlibs options.
Separate line is used to easily find and adjust lines if link
process is changed in future.

lpc17_40_userleds.c: Adds the support of Userleds driver which
provides a device to manipulate the 4 leds of the board through the
/dev/userleds.
lpc17_40_leds.c: Removes not used definitions, eg. MBED_LED3_ON.
Board LED Status support(CONFIG_ARCH_LED=y) and Device Drivers/Led
Support(CONFIG_ARCH_USERLED=y) can not be enable together.

The ARMv7 specifies minimal alignment to be 8 for EABI. Ensure
that sections are placed with even greater minimal alignment.
Sections final alignment should be adjusted according
to alignment of their inputs, but for some reasons some
combinations lead to .ARM.exidx overlap with .data.
When alignment is increased then the direct fetch of the
fill location
_eronly = ABSOLUTE(.);
does not match with final LMA placement of the .data section.
Use constructs which should result in matching .data LMA
address for all cases

In the current compilation environment, the recursive assignment(=) for compile
flags will be delayed until every file is actually need to be compile.

All compile flags to be reexecuted $(INCDIR) as long as one file needs to be compiled,
but in fact, the compilation options have not changed in the current directory.
So the we recommand to change the syntax of assignment

In this way, we can ensure that all compilation options are expanded only once and reducing repeated works.

Remove support for the Codesourcery, Atollic, DevKitArm, Raisonance, and CodeRed toolchains. Not only are these tools old and no longer used but they are all equivalent to standard ARM EABI toolchains. Retaining specific support has no effect (they are still supported, but now just as generic EABI toolchains).
Summary
The naming standard at https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NUTTX/Naming+FAQ requires that all MCU-private files begin with the name of the architecture, not up_.
This PR addresses only these name changes for the up_*.h files. There are only three, but almost 1680 files that include them:
up_arch.h
up_internal.h
up_vfork.h
The only change to the files is from including up_arch.h to arm_arch.h (for example).
The entire job required to be compatible with that Naming Convention will also require changing the naming of the up_() functions that are used only within arch/arm and board/arm.
Impact
There should be not impact of this change (other that one step toward more consistent naming).

So call 'make EXTRAFLAGS=-Wno-cpp' could suppress the warnings with pre-processor
directive #warning in GCC.
