2eb4fe5ffb Make sure sections are aligned to 32-bits in all LD linker scripts. This fixes and issues noted specifically for the SAMD21 by Bernd Walter, but should be applicable to all other LD scripts as well. 
Squashed commit of the following:

    configs/:  Add . = ALIGN(4); before every .data section
    configs/:  Add . = ALIGN(4); before every ARM.extab section
    configs/:  Add . = ALIGN(4); before every definition of __exidx_start
    configs/:  Add . = ALIGN(4); before every .init_section.
    configs/:  Convert TABs to spaces in all ld linker scripts.  This just makes things easier to modify with scripts because the files are more consistent.

6d93658ff8 Add new configuratin CONFIG_NET_MCASTGROUP. This option is selected automatically if either CONFIG_NET_IGMP or CONFIG_NET_MLD are selected. Most conditional logic based on CONFIG_NET_IGMP replaced with conditioning on CONFIG_NET_MCASTGROUP. 2018-10-31 15:03:51 -06:00

e3a1d4213c configs: Several applications in apps/ were callign elf_initialize() nxflat_initialize(), or builtin_initialize() in violation of the portable POSIX interface. 505f460b6b configs: Review all implementations of board_lcd_initialize(). The NuttX convention is that all internal functions that return errors as an 'int' must return a negated errno value on failure and a non-negative value on success. Most were right but eight of them had cloned logic that returns 1 on success and zero on failure... both of which are interpreted as success by the caller since they are non-negative. 2018-04-21 18:03:01 -06:00

cccc86da09 This change adds support for semi-standard IPPROTO_ICMP AF_INET datagram sockets. This replaces the old ad hoc, nonstandard way of implementing ping with a more standard, socket interface. 
Squashed commit of the following:

    net/icmp:  Finishes off icmp_recvfrom().
    net/icmp:  Add readahead support for IPPROTO_ICMP sockets.
    net/icmp:  Add poll() support for IPPROTO_ICMP sockets.
    net/icmp:  Add a connection structure for IPPROTO_ICMP sockets.
    net/icmp:  Implements sendto for the IPPROTO_ICMP socket.
    net/icmp:  Move icmp_sendto() and icmp_recvfrom() to separate files.  They are likely to be complex (when they are implemented).
    net/icmp:  Hook IPPROTO_ICMP sockets into network.  Fix some naming collisions.  Still missing basic ICMP send/receive logic.
    configs: apps/system/ping current need poll() enabled.
    configs: All defconfig files that use to enable low-level support must now enabled CONFIG_SYSTEM_PING.
    net/icmp:  Adds basic build framework to support IPPROTO_ICMP sockets.
